The poem 'Daddy Fell into the Pond' is a simple poem that expresses the innocent reaction of kids when suddenly see their father falls into the pond. Even the birds around them burst out laughing.

कविता 'डैडी फेल इन द पॉन्ड' एक साधारण कविता है जो बच्चों की मासूम प्रतिक्रिया को व्यक्त करती है जब अचानक अपने पिता को तालाब में गिरते हुए देखते हैं।  उनके आस-पास के पक्षी भी खिलखिलाकर हंस पड़े।

Daddy Fell into the Pond

Everyone grumbled. The sky was grey. 

We had nothing to do and nothing to say. 

We were nearing the end of a dismal day,

And then there seemed to be nothing beyond,

Then Daddy fell into the pond!

And everyone's face grew merry and bright. 

And Timothy danced for sheer delight. 

Give me the camera, quick, oh quick 

He's crawling out of the duckweed! Click. 

Then the gardener suddenly slapped his knee, 

And doubled up, shaking silently.

And the ducks all quacked as if they were daft.

And it sounded as if the old drake laughed. 

Oh there wasn't a thing that didn't respond 

When Daddy Fell into the pond!

Alfred Noyes (September 16, 1880- June 25, 1958) was an English poet, short story writer and playwright, best known for his Ballads The highwaymen and The Barrel Organ. Noyes was born in Wolverhampton, England.

अल्फ्रेड नॉयस (16 सितंबर, 1880- 25 जून, 1958) एक अंग्रेजी कवि, लघु कथाकार और नाटककार थे, जिन्हें उनके गाथागीत द हाइवेमेन और द बैरल ऑर्गन के लिए जाना जाता था।  नॉयस का जन्म इंग्लैंड के वॉल्वरहैम्प्टन में हुआ था।

Summary of the poem in English:-

The poem 'Daddy Falls in the Pond' is a simple and sweet poem that entertains both kids and adults at the same time.  Whoever reads the poem keeps smiling till the end of the poem.  It shows the love of a father, how innocent children are and how a father can do anything to see his children happy.

 The poem is divided into three verses.  The first verse makes it clear that the children and all the other family members were feeling bored and therefore there was nothing good to do that day.  There was nothing to do or anything to talk about and the day was passing like any other boring day and then all of a sudden, all they hear, Dad fell into the pond.

 The second stanza shows the immediate reflexes of the family members when Daddy falls into the pond.  Some laugh, some get so excited they yell at each other that they take the camera for a natural click and above all, the dog in the house, Timothy, dances out of ecstasy.  Daddy's fall into the pond can create such huge waves of joy all around, that he has been clicked on several occasions to climb back from the pond.

 The third verse talks about the gardener who suddenly slaps his knees, he was lost in this commotion and he was holding back from her.  He stood up with a trembling laughter and the ducks trembled as if they were in a draft and marched on.  The whole voice sounded like an old duck laughing with such a loud noise.

 The last few lines say that, when Daddy fell in the pond, there was not a single thing that didn't answer that fall and in return Daddy sat empty and doing nothing to make everyone's day more enjoyable.

कविता 'डैडी फॉल इन द पॉन्ड' एक सरल और प्यारी कविता है, जो एक ही समय में बच्चों और वयस्कों दोनों का मनोरंजन कराती है। जो भी कविता पढ़ता है वह कविता के अंत तक मुस्कुराता रहता है। यह एक पिता के प्यार को दिखाता है कि बच्चे कितने मासूम होते हैं और एक पिता अपने बच्चों को खुश देखने के लिए कुछ भी कैसे कर सकता है।

कविता तीन छंदों में विभाजित है। पहला छंद स्पष्ट करता है कि बच्चे और परिवार के अन्य सभी सदस्य ऊब महसूस कर रहे थे और इसलिए उस दिन कुछ भी अच्छा नहीं करना था। किसी के पास करने के लिए कुछ नहीं था या बात करने के लिए कुछ भी नहीं था और दिन किसी भी अन्य उबाऊ दिन की तरह बीत रहा था और तभी अचानक, वे सभी सुनते हैं, पिताजी तालाब में गिर गए।

आखिरी कुछ पंक्तियाँ कहती हैं कि, जब डैडी तालाब में गिरे, तो एक भी चीज़ ऐसी नहीं थी जो उस गिरावट का उत्तर न दे और बदले में डैडी ने खाली बैठे और कुछ न करने के कारण हर किसी के दिन को अधिक सुखद बना दिया।
