The Kind King ( दयालु राजा)
Once upon a time, there was a king in ancient India.
एक बार की बात है, प्राचीन भारत में एक राजा था।
He was very brave and kind.
वह बहुत बहादुर और दयालु था।
He won many states and established a vast kingdom.
उसने कई राज्य जीते और एक विशाल राज्य की स्थापना की।
He built roads for people.
उन्होंने लोगों के लिए सड़कों का निर्माण किया।
There were trees beside the roads.
सड़कों के किनारे पेड़ थे।
He built rest houses for the poor.
उन्होंने गरीबों के लिए विश्राम घर बनाए।
On the eve of Diwali, he used to distribute gold coins among poor people.
दीवाली की संध्या पर, वह गरीब लोगों के बीच सोने के सिक्कों का वितरण करते थे।
He had a white elephant.
उसके पास एक सफेद हाथी था।
There was a big round umbrella on the back of the elephant.
हाथी की पीठ पर एक बड़ा गोल छाता था।
The body of the elephant was covered with silk cloth.
हाथी का शरीर रेशम के कपड़े से ढंका था।
The cloth and the umbrella were studded with precious stones.
कपड़ा और छतरी कीमती पत्थरों से जड़ी हुई थी।
Sitting on the elephant, the king was distributing coins.
हाथी पर बैठकर राजा सिक्के बांट रहा था।
People standing on the both sides of the road were taking coins.
सड़क के दोनों ओर खड़े होकर लोग सिक्के ले रहे थे।
When the king was returning, an old man came near the elephant.
जब राजा लौट रहा था, तो हाथी के पास एक बूढ़ा व्यक्ति आया।
He stole a pearl from the cloth of the elephant.
उसने हाथी के कपड़े से एक मोती चुरा लिया।
One of the soldiers saw him and caught him.
सैनिकों में से एक ने उसे देखा और उसे पकड़ लिया।
The king ordered the soldier to beat him.
राजा ने सिपाही को उसे पीटने का आदेश दिया।
The old man was severely beaten.
वृद्ध को बुरी तरह से पीटा गया था।
He lost his sense.
उसने अपना होश खो दिया।
When he got his sense, he was brought before the king.
जब उसे अपना होश आया, तो उसे राजा के सामने लाया गया।
The king asked, "Why did you steal"?
राजा ने पूछा, "तुमने चोरी क्यों की"?
The old man said, "My Lord, I am a poor man".
बूढ़े आदमी ने कहा, "मेरे भगवान, मैं एक गरीब आदमी हूं"।
"I was distributing coins".
"मैं सिक्कों का वितरण कर रहा था"।
"Yes, it is right.
"हां, यह सही है।
I am old and weak.
मैं बूढ़ा और कमजोर हूं।
I could not get any coin in that crowd".
मुझे उस भीड़ में कोई सिक्का नहीं मिला"।
"Why do you want coins?"
"आप सिक्के क्यों चाहते हैं?"
"I have a young daughter to marry.
"मेरे पास शादी करने के लिए एक छोटी बेटी है।
I have no money for it."
मेरे पास इसके लिए कोई पैसा नहीं है।"
"What do you want now?"
"तुम अब क्या चाहते हो?"
The old man said, "I have heard about you.
बूढ़े व्यक्ति ने कहा, "मैंने तुम्हारे बारे में सुना है।
You are as much kind as angry.
तुम जितने दयालु उतने ही क्रोधित हो।
I have already seen your anger.
मैंने तुम्हारा क्रोध पहले ही देख लिया है।
Now I want to see your kindness".
अब मैं तुम्हारी दया को देखना चाहता हूं"।
The king thought for a moment.
राजा ने एक पल के लिए सोचा।
He ordered his men to give a bag of coins to the old man.
उसने अपने आदमियों को बूढ़े आदमी को सिक्कों का एक थैला देने का आदेश दिया।
The old man went from there happily.
बूढ़ा खुशी से वहाँ से चला गया।
He arranged the marriage of his daughter.
उसने अपनी बेटी की शादी की व्यवस्था की।
The king came to bless the bride and the bride groom.
राजा वर और वधू को आशीर्वाद देने आया।
He announced there "From today I shall provide all facilities for the marriage of a poor girl".
उन्होंने घोषणा की "आज से मैं एक गरीब लड़की की शादी के लिए सभी सुविधाएं प्रदान करूंगा"।
