The Kind King ( เคฆเคฏाเคฒु เคฐाเคा)
Once upon a time, there was a king in ancient India.
เคเค เคฌाเคฐ เคी เคฌाเคค เคนै, เคช्เคฐाเคीเคจ เคญाเคฐเคค เคฎें เคเค เคฐाเคा เคฅा।
He was very brave and kind.
เคตเคน เคฌเคนुเคค เคฌเคนाเคฆुเคฐ เคเคฐ เคฆเคฏाเคฒु เคฅा।
He won many states and established a vast kingdom.
เคเคธเคจे เคเค เคฐाเค्เคฏ เคीเคคे เคเคฐ เคเค เคตिเคถाเคฒ เคฐाเค्เคฏ เคी เคธ्เคฅाเคชเคจा เคी।
He built roads for people.
เคเคจ्เคนोंเคจे เคฒोเคों เคे เคฒिเค เคธเคก़เคों เคा เคจिเคฐ्เคฎाเคฃ เคिเคฏा।
There were trees beside the roads.
เคธเคก़เคों เคे เคिเคจाเคฐे เคชेเคก़ เคฅे।
He built rest houses for the poor.
เคเคจ्เคนोंเคจे เคเคฐीเคฌों เคे เคฒिเค เคตिเคถ्เคฐाเคฎ เคเคฐ เคฌเคจाเค।
On the eve of Diwali, he used to distribute gold coins among poor people.
เคฆीเคตाเคฒी เคी เคธंเคง्เคฏा เคชเคฐ, เคตเคน เคเคฐीเคฌ เคฒोเคों เคे เคฌीเค เคธोเคจे เคे เคธिเค्เคों เคा เคตिเคคเคฐเคฃ เคเคฐเคคे เคฅे।
He had a white elephant.
เคเคธเคे เคชाเคธ เคเค เคธเคซेเคฆ เคนाเคฅी เคฅा।
There was a big round umbrella on the back of the elephant.
เคนाเคฅी เคी เคชीเค เคชเคฐ เคเค เคฌเคก़ा เคोเคฒ เคाเคคा เคฅा।
The body of the elephant was covered with silk cloth.
เคนाเคฅी เคा เคถเคฐीเคฐ เคฐेเคถเคฎ เคे เคเคชเคก़े เคธे เคขंเคा เคฅा।
The cloth and the umbrella were studded with precious stones.
เคเคชเคก़ा เคเคฐ เคเคคเคฐी เคीเคฎเคคी เคชเคค्เคฅเคฐों เคธे เคเคก़ी เคนुเค เคฅी।
Sitting on the elephant, the king was distributing coins.
เคนाเคฅी เคชเคฐ เคฌैเค เคเคฐ เคฐाเคा เคธिเค्เคे เคฌांเค เคฐเคนा เคฅा।
People standing on the both sides of the road were taking coins.
เคธเคก़เค เคे เคฆोเคจों เคเคฐ เคเคก़े เคนोเคเคฐ เคฒोเค เคธिเค्เคे เคฒे เคฐเคนे เคฅे।
When the king was returning, an old man came near the elephant.
เคเคฌ เคฐाเคा เคฒौเค เคฐเคนा เคฅा, เคคो เคนाเคฅी เคे เคชाเคธ เคเค เคฌूเคข़ा เคต्เคฏเค्เคคि เคเคฏा।
He stole a pearl from the cloth of the elephant.
เคเคธเคจे เคนाเคฅी เคे เคเคชเคก़े เคธे เคเค เคฎोเคคी เคुเคฐा เคฒिเคฏा।
One of the soldiers saw him and caught him.
เคธैเคจिเคों เคฎें เคธे เคเค เคจे เคเคธे เคฆेเคा เคเคฐ เคเคธे เคชเคเคก़ เคฒिเคฏा।
The king ordered the soldier to beat him.
เคฐाเคा เคจे เคธिเคชाเคนी เคो เคเคธे เคชीเคเคจे เคा เคเคฆेเคถ เคฆिเคฏा।
The old man was severely beaten.
เคตृเคฆ्เคง เคो เคฌुเคฐी เคคเคฐเคน เคธे เคชीเคा เคเคฏा เคฅा।
He lost his sense.
เคเคธเคจे เค เคชเคจा เคนोเคถ เคो เคฆिเคฏा।
When he got his sense, he was brought before the king.
เคเคฌ เคเคธे เค เคชเคจा เคนोเคถ เคเคฏा, เคคो เคเคธे เคฐाเคा เคे เคธाเคฎเคจे เคฒाเคฏा เคเคฏा।
The king asked, "Why did you steal"?
เคฐाเคा เคจे เคชूเคा, "เคคुเคฎเคจे เคोเคฐी เค्เคฏों เคी"?
The old man said, "My Lord, I am a poor man".
เคฌूเคข़े เคเคฆเคฎी เคจे เคเคนा, "เคฎेเคฐे เคญเคเคตाเคจ, เคฎैं เคเค เคเคฐीเคฌ เคเคฆเคฎी เคนूं"।
"I was distributing coins".
"เคฎैं เคธिเค्เคों เคा เคตिเคคเคฐเคฃ เคเคฐ เคฐเคนा เคฅा"।
"Yes, it is right.
"เคนां, เคฏเคน เคธเคนी เคนै।
I am old and weak.
เคฎैं เคฌूเคข़ा เคเคฐ เคเคฎเคोเคฐ เคนूं।
I could not get any coin in that crowd".
เคฎुเคे เคเคธ เคญीเคก़ เคฎें เคोเค เคธिเค्เคा เคจเคนीं เคฎिเคฒा"।
"Why do you want coins?"
"เคเคช เคธिเค्เคे เค्เคฏों เคाเคนเคคे เคนैं?"
"I have a young daughter to marry.
"เคฎेเคฐे เคชाเคธ เคถाเคฆी เคเคฐเคจे เคे เคฒिเค เคเค เคोเคी เคฌेเคी เคนै।
I have no money for it."
เคฎेเคฐे เคชाเคธ เคเคธเคे เคฒिเค เคोเค เคชैเคธा เคจเคนीं เคนै।"
"What do you want now?"
"เคคुเคฎ เค เคฌ เค्เคฏा เคाเคนเคคे เคนो?"
The old man said, "I have heard about you.
เคฌूเคข़े เคต्เคฏเค्เคคि เคจे เคเคนा, "เคฎैंเคจे เคคुเคฎ्เคนाเคฐे เคฌाเคฐे เคฎें เคธुเคจा เคนै।
You are as much kind as angry.
เคคुเคฎ เคिเคคเคจे เคฆเคฏाเคฒु เคเคคเคจे เคนी เค्เคฐोเคงिเคค เคนो।
I have already seen your anger.
เคฎैंเคจे เคคुเคฎ्เคนाเคฐा เค्เคฐोเคง เคชเคนเคฒे เคนी เคฆेเค เคฒिเคฏा เคนै।
Now I want to see your kindness".
เค เคฌ เคฎैं เคคुเคฎ्เคนाเคฐी เคฆเคฏा เคो เคฆेเคเคจा เคाเคนเคคा เคนूं"।
The king thought for a moment.
เคฐाเคा เคจे เคเค เคชเคฒ เคे เคฒिเค เคธोเคा।
He ordered his men to give a bag of coins to the old man.
เคเคธเคจे เค เคชเคจे เคเคฆเคฎिเคฏों เคो เคฌूเคข़े เคเคฆเคฎी เคो เคธिเค्เคों เคा เคเค เคฅैเคฒा เคฆेเคจे เคा เคเคฆेเคถ เคฆिเคฏा।
The old man went from there happily.
เคฌूเคข़ा เคुเคถी เคธे เคตเคนाँ เคธे เคเคฒा เคเคฏा।
He arranged the marriage of his daughter.
เคเคธเคจे เค เคชเคจी เคฌेเคी เคी เคถाเคฆी เคी เคต्เคฏเคตเคธ्เคฅा เคी।
The king came to bless the bride and the bride groom.
เคฐाเคा เคตเคฐ เคเคฐ เคตเคงू เคो เคเคถीเคฐ्เคตाเคฆ เคฆेเคจे เคเคฏा।
He announced there "From today I shall provide all facilities for the marriage of a poor girl".
เคเคจ्เคนोंเคจे เคोเคทเคฃा เคी "เคเค เคธे เคฎैं เคเค เคเคฐीเคฌ เคฒเคก़เคी เคी เคถाเคฆी เคे เคฒिเค เคธเคญी เคธुเคตिเคงाเคं เคช्เคฐเคฆाเคจ เคเคฐूंเคा"।
