 सर्वविदित है कि भगवान विश्वकर्मा की पूजा हर साल 17 सितम्बर को ही की जाती है । क्या आपने कभी सोचा है कि आखिर ऐसा क्यों होता है? 

चलिए आज हम आपको बताते हैं कि इसके पीछे क्या कारण छिपा हुआ है-

जैसा कि आप सभी को ज्ञात है कि प्राय सभी देवी देवताओं की पूजा तिथि के अनुसार होती है, जो हर वर्ष बदलती रहती है परन्तु विश्वकर्मा की पूजा अन्य सभी तीज- त्योहारों से भिन्न है। विश्वकर्मा भगवान की जयन्ती को लेकर अलग- अलग मान्यताएँ प्रचलित है । एक मान्यता के अनुसार ब्रह्मा जी के सातवें पुत्र के रूप में विश्वकर्मा जी का जन्म आश्विन कृष्ण प्रतिपदा को हुआ था जबकि दूसरी मान्यता के अनुसार भाद्रपद के अन्तिम तिथि को हुआ था। जानने वाली बात यह है कि विश्वकर्मा पूजा का मुहुर्त सूर्य के पारगमन के आधार पर निर्धारित किया गया है जिसके फलस्वरूप यह पूजा हर साल एक ही तारिख 17 सितम्बर को ही मनायी जाती है । हमारे देश के प्राय सभी त्योहार चन्द्र पंचाग के आधार पर होता है पर विश्वकर्मा की पूजा सूर्य के आधार पर होती है। 

2020 में विश्वकर्मा पूजा16 या 17 सितम्बर को ? 

इस साल विश्वकर्मा पूजा की तारिख को लेकर सब जगह विवादास्पद रहा । आखिर जिस पूजा को दशकों से 17 सितम्बर को मनाते आ रहे हैं वो इस बार 16 सितम्बर को कैसे? 

ज्योतिषियों के गणनानुसार विश्वकर्मा पूजा उस तिथि को होती है जब कन्या संक्रांति होती है । इस वर्ष कन्या संक्रांति 16 सितम्बर को रही परन्तु अनेकों ज्योतिषाचार्य और पंडितों में मतभेद रहा । उनके अनुसार 16 सितम्बर को आश्विन पितृ पक्ष की चतुर्दशी और अमावस्या का संधिकाल रहा जिसके कारण अधिकतर स्थानों पर 16 सितम्बर के बदले 17 सितम्बर को विश्वकर्मा पूजा की गई ।

 As you all know that the worship of all the Gods and Goddesses is done according to the date, which changes every year, but Vishwakarma worship is different from all other Teej-festivals.  There are different beliefs about the birth anniversary of Lord Vishwakarma.  According to one belief, Vishwakarma ji was born as Ashwin Krishna Pratipada as the seventh son of Brahma ji, while according to another belief, it was born on the last date of Bhadrapada.  The thing to know is that the Muhurta of Vishwakarma Puja has been determined on the basis of transit of the Sun, due to which this Puja is celebrated on the same date every year on 17 September.  Almost all the festivals of our country are based on Chandra Panchag but Vishwakarma is worshiped on the basis of Sun.

 Vishwakarma Puja on 16 or 17 September in 2020?

 This year, the date of Vishwakarma Puja was controversial everywhere.  After all, the worship that has been celebrated on 17 September for decades, how this time on 16 September?

 According to astrologers, Vishwakarma Puja is done on the date when there is Kanya Sankranti.  This year, Kanya Sankranti was on 16 September, but there were differences between many astrologers and pundits.  According to him, on 16 September, Ashwin Pitru paksha was governed by Chaturdashi and Amavasya due to which Vishwakarma puja was performed on 17 September instead of 16 September in most places.
